This is one of our prize possessions.
It's a Clarion radio - I believe from
1925. The condensers (capacitors)
were replaced when I found it ca 1980.
It works great. It was made just before
the AVC (automatic volume control) circuit
was invented. Therefore strong signals
play loud and weak signals play quieter.
You have to keep adjusting the volume
control as you scan stations (AM of course).
